Click through rate or ctr is how you measure how well your message fits what your email list wants or needs. In other words, it shows how well you sold them on taking action.
That requires some skill but it’s something that anyone can do with a little practice and know how.
What Is A Good Click Through Rate (CTR)?
A good click-through rate depends on a lot of different things. One of the biggest variables in the market you are serving.
If you are in the fitness market, a 4% click-through rate may be average. In the finance market, the industry average is 1%.
Overall, the most important thing is the relationship you have with your list and how much authority you have built in advance.
How to increase your click-through rate
The basics of the process are this:
1. Build Curiosity
2. Create a series of emails that lead to your end goal.
3. Write long emails with a tease to the next email every time
4. Pre-sell your solution in the second to last email
5. Give a summary of your solution then entice them to click.
